SUPERB ATHBOY COAST INTO FINALS

The boys from Athboy got into their stride when they hit the ground running in their first game.Marshalled at the back by their lynchpin and captain Kian O’Neill who was ably assisted by Marcus Zagrea and Christopher Uchennaon on the wing. Both players covered every blade of “astro” .Christopher really came into his own in the final match against Boyerstown with three cracking goals from outside the area.Conor McGovern showed some deft touches and showed great awareness when the need arose.Paul Tuite,Sean Ivers and Ryan McNamee all worked like trojans to secure another outing for Athboy in next week’s finals  ATHBOY  Kian O’ Neill Conor McGovern Chris Uchenna Marcus Zagrean Sean Ivers  Ryan McNamee Paul Tuite Liam Gough.  Report by Manager Barry McGann

Scoil Eoin Navan- In the group stages all players managed to score some excellent goals. Euan Burton and Sam McGuinness linked up very well in the midfield and forward positions, while there was also a very strong presence in midfield through Kevin Joshua. Jake Murtagh and Adam O’Connor were extremely impressive in defence. Darragh Idemilli and Maciej Radon proved to be very hard to beat as they both pulled of some brilliant saves in goals. The play-off game  was a hard fought match against Lismullen where Scoil Naomh Eoin’s Jake Murtagh just pinched the winning goal in extra time.
