Classy Mt Hanover retain Meath title to win Section A Boys

Mount Hanover clinched their second successive Meath Section A five a side trophy with a classy display today at the MDL. Led by inspirational captain Adam Kelly, they defeated Culmullen N.S, Castletown N.S and St Pats Trim. They now progress to the North Leinster finals, and will be hoping to go one better after finishing runners up in North Leinster last year. In total Enda Ruddy’s charges notched up  36 goals and recorded six straight wins.

Midfielder Kelly was in flying form, forming an excellent partnership with striker Alan Bowden. Lucas McKeen was industrious thorughout while defender Conor Mc Quail proved more than a match for opposing attackers. Dylan Collins was a reassuring presence in goal and distributed well. Sean McQuail, Tom Bowden and Devin Coleman all played an important role in the 2nd half of the matches.
The tie of the round was an enthralling game against gallant runners up Castletown N.S. Mount Hanover started with blistering pace and scored 2 early goals. They continued to mount the pressure in the second half and ran out 5-1 winners.
